THE DELLA SANTINA STORY

When you walk through the gates between Della Santina’s Restaurant and the Enoteca next door, it’s like being transported back to Italy. Here, authentic Northern Italian fare is created under the direction of Quirico Della Santina, a third generation chef who came to the United States from Lucca nearly fifty years ago. He learned cooking alongside his mother and his grandmother, who created true farm to table, simple food.

It’s the same today at Della Santina’s, where you’ll find what they call “Tuscan Soul Food” — homemade pastas, rotisserie meats, bread baked daily, soups and fish — all locally sourced and showcasing the bounty of Sonoma County, as well as specialty items that are imported from Italy.

Today, Quirico’s son Rob, who has been with the business since its inception, welcomes visitors to the restaurant and to the adjacent Enoteca, the wine bar next door. Enoteca Della Santina is owned and operated by Rob and his wife Nicole, and together they have created a “wine library” with a 250+ bottle “wine wall” so visitors can sample, drink and purchase wines from hard-to find local producers, as well gems from around the world.

Nominated “Best Italian Restaurant In Sonoma” by the locals, 2015 marked the restaurant’s 25th anniversary. Rare to many dining establishments, the staff has remained relatively unchanged and their confidence and experience is reflected in the restaurant’s consistent quality and friendly service. Together, Della Santina’s and Enoteca Della Santina represent an authentic Italian experience that honors the spirit of the Wine Country as well as the heritage of the Della Santina family.

Dedicated to my father… A letter from Rob
